Who decides a septic permit in Nevada
Your local health authority or county building department issues an ordinary residential permit. For some systems the state issues it itself. The state sets the floor through the Onsite Sewage Disposal System (OSDS) Program, Bureau of Water Pollution Control, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
The rule lets the state, a county, or a city run septic permits. Nevada permits septic systems at both levels.
